Director of Photography

ABOUT
I was introduced to photography by my Grandfather whose collection of old film cameras fascinated me from an early age. He was a racing photographer in the 60s and talked passionatley about his career behind the lens.

I moved to London after graduating with a degree in English Literature to work in house at an independent documentary production company where I assisted on many award winning films and series. I was then a researcher and story producer for true crime shows based in the US. It was during this time that I gravitated towards the camera once again, developing a love and natural aptitude for shooting.
I began my freelance career in the camera department as a clapper/loader before losing hair focus pulling for a number of years. This experience as an assistant has not only made me technically proficient but also afforded me the opportunity to learn from some of the best DoPs and directors in the industry.

Being on set gave me the tools to understand how visual language affects mood and emotion. On the other hand my background in production taught me the importance of being editorially minded and I always like to prioritise story over style.

Over the years I have worked on a variety of distinguished projects, including shows for Netflix, Amazon, Nat Geo, Discovery and ITV. I have also captured campaigns for major brands like Rolex, Nike, and Jo Malone.

I'm now based in Bristol and my work takes me all over the world. Recent shoots have taken me to Ghana, India, South Africa, USA, Japan, Jordan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Macedonia, Bosnia, Italy, Spain and Bulgaria.
